Palm Garden caregivers are empowered to create a unique, memorable, personal and positive experience for guests, residents and families. In fact, we have a cultural caregiving program called “the GEM.” “Each team member is empowered to spend up to $40.00 on anything they discover will enhance a guest, resident, or family member’s time with us.” We created this program because we believe caregiving at its best is deeply personal. Over the last 14 years, we’ve shared hundreds of such GEMS in the hope that fellow care providers will see them and follow our example.
Imagine our surprise when servant leader Kaycee Loucka, Executive Director at beautiful Palm Garden of Largo, shared she had been GEM’d! “I was bopping back to my office from a therapy meeting and was surprised to find our resident Tony waiting outside my door. He gave me flowers and a beautiful card as my early birthday gift! It melted my heart and reminded me of why we do what we do. .”
